Step 1: Prep Your Containers
Clean your chosen containers and dry them completely. Attach your wick to the center bottom using natural glue or wick stickers. Keep the wick upright using clothespins or a homemade holder.
Step 2: Melt the Wax
Melt your wax slowly using a double boiler. Stir occasionally to avoid overheating. Each wax has a recommended melting and pouring temperature—typically around 120–140°F (49–60°C).
Step 3: Add Essential Oils
Once the wax is melted and slightly cooled (about 120°F), add your essential oils. Start with 5–8% essential oil based on the weight of the wax. Stir gently but thoroughly.
Step 4: Pour the Wax
Slowly pour your scented wax into the prepared containers, leaving about ½ inch of space at the top. Re-center the wick if needed.
Step 5: Let Them Set
Let your candles cure in a cool, stable spot away from direct sunlight and drafts. They’ll need several hours to fully harden. Once solid, trim the wick to about ¼ inch
